I wake

Here is a video of Tyler pretending to sleep. He was saying I wake, but when he saw the camera he couldn't resist smiling and saying cheeeeseee!!

Pregnant Belly

I have 5 weeks left till the due date. I'm hoping it is sooner. There is so much pressure on my belly right now it is very uncomfortable. The belly button is way out and that is where all the pressure is right now. No fat comments, people. It's all baby, right?

Make up, Anyone?

Tonight, Joel and I were eating our dinner. Tyler hadn't come out yet and he was being awfully quiet. I went to check on him and found him in the bathroom putting on my make-up. Isn't he pretty?

Happy Birthday, Uncle Vernon

Vernon, We hope you enjoyed your birthday. Tyler ate some cake for you!
I took Tyler to pick out Vernon's birthday card and it is amazing to me how opinionted this little guy is. He would pick out a card and say, "I like this one." He almost picked out a Stewie (family Guy cartoon baby) card and I'm glad he found the fire truck one. I hope you enjoy it, Vernon.

Welcome to your 30's!

Steamboat Days

It is Steamboat Days here this weekend. I'm not exactly sure what this is for, but apparently all the towns up here have a "days" thing. They have parades and a carnival and the ever popular beer tent. Too bad, I can't go to the beer tent because I hear it is lots of fun. On Friday, Ty's daycare went to the Kiddie parade. I went with them as a parent volunteer. I brought the wagon to take Ty down there and his friend, Mason rode with us. I couldn't make the walk back though (it was at least a mile) so Joel was nice enough to pick Ty and me up. Mason had to catch a ride back with somebody else. Tyler enjoyed the parade. The clowns scared him. Why do they even have clowns since they scared all the kids. He would pick up the candy that was thrown to him and then share it with another friend that was sharing his blanket. He can be such a sweetheart sometimes. We'll be going to the real parade tommorrow. People actually stake out a spot for this. As of this morning (saturday, the 21st), there were blankets and lawn chairs lining the parade route. The parade doesn't start until noon tommorrow. It seems a bit crazy to me, but one of the guys in our church does this and has invited us to sit with him and his family so I'm glad we won't have to fight for a spot.
Last night, we took Ty to the carnival. He really wanted to do the bumper cars, but we didn't think that was the safest thing for him. So we took him to the kiddie rides. He couldn't wait to ride this whale ride. He almost didn't get to, because he started throwing a fit when he had to stand in line. Fortunatly for him he calmed down. His friend, Jakob rode it with him. Jakob is 6 months older than Ty, but stands at least a foot taller than him and weighs twice as much as him. He's a big boy, but he's very, very well-behaved. Too bad his behavior doesn't rub off on Ty :-) Just kidding, Tyler's pretty good too. After this ride, the rode something called the Crazy Bus which went pretty high up. Tyler looked pertrified on it, but when he got off, he talked about how much he loved it. Tyler went up and down in the bus was all he kept saying.

Here he is dancing around to Who let the Dogs out. He learned most of the words and he was singing it as well. He also sings Jingle Bells which I think is his favorite song, the ABC song, and Bingo.

Nana & Papa, he loved the box you used to ship us the jackets and the blankets for Deacon. He had a lot of fun getting in it and then popping out. Boxes are never ending sources of fun.

He is such a character. He has on my high heels and he stomped around the house in them. What a funny kid.

Taking a Bath

We trade baby sitting duties with the Loos's sometimes. This particular Friday night we had their little girl Kaia. She's 6 months younger than Tyler and their parents are expecting another little girl due the day before me. I think we'll have the Kelner boy and the Loos girls to terroize our neighborhood. I gave them a bath together and Tyler kept touching her chest and saying "Buttons" Kaia's parents and I got a good laugh out of that one. The next Saturday, they watched Tyler for us, but apparently Ty wasn't brave enough to try anything with Kaia's Daddy there.

Up in the Tree

Ty is such an active little boy. No, he did not climb the tree by himself, but he did make Daddy put him there and he got such a kick being up in the tree like a monkey. Daddy is just a little out of the shot so if he went to fall we'd be there to catch him. This picture was taken in late May or so and notice that he still has a jacket on. The temp. this morning was in the low 70's. Kind of nice for me since I'm huge and probably couldn't handle the high temps right now.

New to Blogging

Almost all our friends do the blogging thing and I vowed I would not jump on that bandwagon. Never say never. Tyler is doing so many things now and we have a new baby on the way. Seeing as the grandparents live in Texas and we live in Minnesota, I thought it would be a great way to share things that the kids are doing and let the grandparents keep in touch. We'll see how it goes and if I'm able to keep it up.
